This is an M-7 105mm self propelled howitzer designed and built by the US during WW2.  A total of 3,489 M7s and 826 M7B1s were built. The 50,000 pound vehicle was manufactured by the American Locomotive Company and build initially on the M3 tank chassis and then later the M4. This surviving example can be seen on outside display at the TN National Guard Maintenance Facilty just north of Tullahoma on HWY55.
